Freaky

So I just have to discuss something freaky. Ever since my due date has gotten closer I have had this feeling that my impatient wriggly child wants to come out early. Not super weeks early, but perhaps a few days give or take maybe oh 10 days or so maybe closer to the 15. My husband, my sister, and I have all come up with this date and now more and more freaky things have happened making us think we have fewer weeks left.

Weeks ago Brent and I were just chatting like we do and I mentioned how I thought she would be impatient like her loving mother (patience is not my greatest virtue unless it has to do with a 4 year old) and Brent asked me when I thought she would come. I happened to mention the 15 and he looks at me amazed and says "No Way!" that is the exact date I was thinking! We laughed and said how weird that would be if it really happened. Freaky occurrence #1.

A few weeks later my sister and I were talking and we saw a commercial for the new Harry Potter movie. My family and I (sans Brent) always get really excited when the new movies come out and we drag poor Brent along to see them whenever they come out. It just happens that the last installment of Harry Potter comes out July 15. After the commercial was over my sister looks at me and goes "You know you  are going to have that baby on that day. If your water breaks in the middle of the movie I am not leaving to take you to the hospital". My loving husband then mentioned how glad he would would be to leave during the movie and take me. I feel so loved people. I then mentioned to my sister how both Brent and I were already thinking Baby Love would be coming early and on that exact date. Freaky occurrence #2

As I wrote earlier Brent and I were spending the past few days at my parents house due to a power outage and my sister came over for dinner. We were laughing again about her coming early and I told her that the 15 was also a full moon. She reached in her purse to pull out her planner to check the date and when she opened it a movie ticket stub fell out. You will never guess what movie it was for. Well if you guessed Harry Potter then you are correct my friend! Thus ending my freaky occurrences with # 3.

Now I believe that things happen for a reason, but I am not going to get my hopes up. It actually freaks me out because that would mean we only have 30 days if that was the correct date. That is only 4 weeks. Freaky!

The movie poster caption is quite appropriate don't you think. Maybe it should really say It All Begins 7.15.

Checked Off

Things have been very busy lately. For the past 2 days we have been camped out at my parents house since the bad storms rolled through Monday and knocked out our power. Almost 9 month prego mommy and the old man (Gibson) couldn't take the heat so we packed up and headed out. It was nice hanging with my daddy for a few days while my mom was out of town. It would have been nice if she was home, but we got to keep dad company. We were about to go to bed last nigth when a friend down the street messages me that the power had finally returned, but we decided to get 1 more good night in the king sized bed before heading home. After returning home today I had to put away all of the food we had been keeping at the parents house to keep it from going bad and I still ahve to finish clening my kitchen. I thought it would be a great idea to clean out soem cabinets while the lights were out which only ended in me getting too hot and sent me packing to the parents house. Now that we are home I can finish getting the house purged, reorganized, and cleaned.
Today I had my 34 week checkup and everything and everyone are measuring perfectly. I also talked with my doctor about my concerns about being induced. I have seen so many people whose doctors have talked about inducing them even before their due dates and every single one of them never progressed and ended up having to have a c-section. She made me feel much better because she doesn't believe in inducing unless I get to 41 weeks or it is medically necessary. I feel like people get scared to question or ask their doctor about stuff which can end in unnecessary medical interventions. I am ok with being uncomfortable for a week or 2 longer. If it comes down to it I am totally ok with having a c-section, but if I can give my baby the time she needs to naturally get here then so be it. I have 1 more visit in 2 weeks and then we will start the visit every week. That means we are getting so close to the end and I am so ready for my girl to get here.

A Light At The End Of The Tunnel

It just really hit me today that my wonderful, amazing, hardworking husband will be officially done with school in 3 weeks. To him it feels like years until that final day in July, but to me it is so close I can taste it! The poor darling has been in school his entire life and soon very soon he will be done and after taking 2 final licensure tests he will be a licensed counselor. It really doesn't feel real and maybe it won't until he is truly done. He still amazes me everyday how hard he works. He works over 10 hour days most days plus the weeks he has to be on call then 2 days a week for almost 4 hours he goes to class. Today he is at the library with a classmate preparing a presentation for aforementioned last class.

I don't know how he does it and he NEVER complains.

I am glad he never reads my blog because he would be embarrassed that I am writing all of this, but it is true. He does things and works harder then I ever could. So here is to you my dear hubby. I know these past few months have been long and soon we shall be even more tired then we already are, but gosh darn it it will be worth it.

Lookie lookie Lookie

I got my diaper bag!! My awesome cousin Judy (she is married to my cousin Bo) knew i really like Vera Bradley and she said when she saw the diaper bag I had registered for she decided that was not good enough. She had asked my sister if a VB would be what I would want for my diaper bag and my sister knowing me very well said heck yeah. Imagine my surprise when I unwrapped her gift (also from my other cousins and their wives) to find a beautiful exactly what I wanted diaper bag! I was shocked! I can not wait to show it off to everyone. She had originally picked out the Versailles pattern
Baby Bag

but after looking at the patterns I already had I decided to go with one of those patterns so I chose the Baroque pattern.

I LOVE it!! I think it is pretty, but I can carry it in case we have a baby boy next time which is important because VB's last forever! They are really well made bags so being able to carry it for a few years is very important to me. I have already packed it with baby Love's stuff for the hospital (clothes, blankets, burp cloths, hats, mittens, socks, etc.) Now all we need is the baby.

I almost forgot, I just got a K'tan sling to carry Baby Girl in for $9 on Spots Corner. Mine is pink which is perfect for baby girl. I will be able to carry her in so many ways. the best part is they are normally $70!
Here are just a few ways you can use a K'tan
