Bueller? Bueller?

I am alive I promise.

School has started and I have been very very very tired. With 20 babies at school and 2 at home (My girl and the hubs) I am exhausted at night and basically i pass out around 9 every night  which is unheard of in this house! Add on cross country practice and our first meet logos past Thursday and I am done by the time I get home. I need to post my pictures from the last few weeks of summer, but sadly nothing particularly exciting has been going on so they will be mostly pictures of the Little Lady. I have been pretty good about posting over at my school blog  Insane In The Pre-K Brain. So far our year is going great and I am so so proud of all of my sweet babies.

Hopefully after my body adjusts to not sitting for 10 hours after sitting on my behind all summer I will have a little more energy to get back to at least weekly updates.

Rifht now we are spending probably one of our last weekends at my happy place, my parent's lake house.  I am probably going to cry when we leave tomorrow and it absolutely breaks my heart that my girl won't remember this place.

Right now I am laying down in the cave watching sex and the city reruns while my precious angel of a child is playing and throwing dominoes around upstairs. Thankfully we all slept much better after our new sleeping arrangements last night

We had a blast last night with Mrs. Sue and Duane and I am sure the excitement will triple after Robin and the family get here. It should be interesting to see how Mckinley and Jack intersect.

Hopefully now that I am feeling better I will get to use my new cup my sis got me.

So that is where I have been and why my poor blog has been so neglected. Now I am off to watch some trashy tv and not move for an hour or so. I think it may also be time for my third cup of coffee.

I hope everyone else is enjoying this beautiful weekend.

Happy Labor Day.

Lake Life

I usually do most of my blogging on Saturday, but we were spending some quality time with my family at the lake house this weekend so it got postponed for a bit. I love not being connected to anything or just a few days. I might not have had my computer, but I did have my sad little camera  and I of course took a million pictures of my precious girl!

We left around 5:30 when Brent got home on Friday and someone napped until we arrived around 6:30 so she was ready to PARTY all night long!

This is what happens when you rip your ponytail out! Mohawk Baby!

I think we need to buy her her own tiny dog or her own tiny dog bed. I am going to go with the one I don't have to feed.

Somebody is diggin all of those teeth. My girl loves her some corn especially right off of the cob.

Yes my child likes to play with cable cords and she wouldn't do anything else unless it was wrapped around her shoulders.

I was super excited when the Little let me give her some pigtails! Guess who will be rockin this style everyday from now on.

We spent a lot of our time outside throwing leaves and yelling at the dog.

Not happy about having to come inside

This girl loves her daddy.

Swinging with Jen Jen. This is what she does when she wants a kiss.

It was so nice to just relax with the family, not worrying about cleaning, and trying to rest. Someone wouldn't sleep in the pac n play and ended up in the king size bed with Mama and Daddy which was awful! More power to anyone who bed share, but I am definitely not cut out for out. My back still hurts from being pushed to the edge of the bed. Remember it was a king size and I literally had to hold on not to fall off because a little body kept squeezing up next to me.

I actually have a few giveaways coming up soon so be looking forward to an awesome new baby product and some skin and body care.

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and don't forget to sign up for the  Race next Saturday.

Lake Life

I am at my happy place right now. My parent's have an awesome lake house about an hour away from Memphis and when my mom mentioned she was coming up here I said well I will just pack the little lady up and join y'all!

There is however no way to pack light when you are traveling with a small child or if there is I have not masters this mama skill just yet. I honestly don' think we did too bad. My main problem with packing for a trip, packing a diaper bag, packing a purse, packing my etcher bag is I want to be prepared for anything and everything so I tend to over pack. I can honestly say we have been very thankful many many times for my slight OCD.

We had to borrow a pack n play (not pictured) from MIL and FIL. I am regretting never getting one because we have needed it several times and it would be nice to have somewhere for Mckinley to play while I clean, vacuum, craft, exercise. and I am hoping we can pick one up at one of the upcoming consignment sales.

We packed the usual stuff in our Kinley/mama black bag like clothes, pajamas, toiletries, undergarments, Chacos, noise machine, singing puppy. Then we needed the swim bag because I was too lazy to search through that mess and pull out my suit, baby girl's suit, her swim diapers, sunscreen, and our hats. Next we have the bag of random stuff we have found ourselves needing several random times whilst we have been out of town like the nose sucker thingy, baby Tylenol, baby thermometer, baby Advil (just in case baby girl get sick and this has happened before and if you have ever had a sick baby while away from home you know it can be absolutely miserable, toys (because when you go to a house that does not contain any toys you must bring your own because a bored baby equals sad grownups). We brought the fold up blanket because it always comes in handy no mater where we go. We have already used it on the boat to create a little play area for the little. She was happy for 2 hours in her little aquatic playpen and mom and Debbie got to catch some nasty fish. We have a small bag to carry the bottles and a larger lunch bag to carry all of Kinley's food. She could eat whatever we are eating, but it is better to be safe then sorry when you are traveling with littles. Last, but not least we have the diaper bag and when you are traveling with cloth diapers you need to be ready for anything. Luckily we have a washer and dryer up here so we could was if we needed (I always carry cloth safe detergent in my toiletry bag). We have a ton of inserts and covers and 2 wet bags, plus cloth wipes and cloth wipe solution, coconut oil, liners and butt cream just in case we ever need it, a changing pad, an extra outfit that always stays in there.

I don't think that is too much stuff for an overnight trip and thankfully we didn't use most of the stuff we brought, but if we needed it we had it.

Just doing some light reading.

What can I say the girl loves some Sangria and no you don't need to call CPS she didn't really drink any.

Lovin the lake life

This wasn't our first time to travel with the little and we will really get to test our traveling skills in a few weeks when we head to the beach for  a week. We will have a washer and dryer in our condo and we are planning on taking our cloth with us. I asked Brent what he wanted to do and he was very adamant that as long as we can we will use our cloth. I think he actually missed it those few weeks we were in disposables. There is nothing like a good ole fluffy bum.
