I started a new blog called Insane In The Pre-K Brain . I wanted separate my family posts from my school posts and I think this will keep things less jumbled and help me be more organized when it comes to blogging. I will link back and forth between the blogs so no one misses out on any of the crazy excitement going on!

For now I leave you with a picture of the wild child last weekend at her future husband's Ninja Turtle birthday party! This kid has so much personality in that tiny body of hers!

3 more weeks until school starts! Guess I better get my August meal plan started! I am planning a whole month of Gracious Pantry recipes. I contacted Tiffany and asked her if it would be ok for me to post about her recipes and she said I could!! I was just so darn excited she actually answered me back! I can't wait for her cookbook to come out!

Clean eating here we come!

Jump On Board Teachers Shout Out

If you are a teacher, mom, human, and you have a minute you must go check out my Awesome MIL's Teacher Pay Teacher site! She also has a super cute blog she runs with a friend called Jump On Board Teachers  you should definitely follow if you are an elementary school teacher who likes blogs.

If you are not a teacher you may not know how much work actually goes into lesson planning. Yes we have books that give us ideas, but almost everything we use we make ourselves and that takes a lot of time. From planning the lesson, to creating all of the projects, to creating examples and getting all of the supplies needed for each each activity takes me almost an entire week to prepare for the next week which means while I am teaching that weeks lesson I have to find time to make everything I need for the following week. In 1 week we do 5 "jobs" or afternoon activities that include math , art , writing, and reading activities, etc. and then almost every day we are doing some sort of activity usually an art project that goes along with our theme. That means in 1 week we are completing 10-15 activities and with 19 students that takes some time to  do.

Now that we have that out of the way enter the Teacher Pay Teacher site where you can find tons of Lesson plan Ideas and purchase already created Lessons which can make a teachers life much much easier! Now I would toot my MIL's horn anyways because I love her, but I truly honestly LOVE her lessons!! She only started telling a few months ago and she has already created 6 multi page lessons. And when I say her lesson are complete they have everything from cute original stories to write the room activities.

If you have a moment go check her out.

I Don't care If Your Kid Has Diarrhea

I started my blog so friends across the country could keep up with our little family since we would be having a new addition soon. I never expected anyone to really read it, but I have made a few friends online who actually follow what I do from day to day. The other reason I wanted to make a family blog is so people didn't have to read my thoughts on something like facebook especially since I never write anything on facebook and I refuse to join any other social network (yeah I'm talking to you twitter)

Facebook has slowly fallen out of favor with me over the past few years mainly because I can't stand reading some people's daily, hourly, minute by minute accounts of what they are doing, eating, or what bodily functions are coming out of their children.

So I am promising here and now I will not make people suffer from reading about the daily intake and output of my child's body.  I will post pictures of what we are doing from day to day, but I will try to make it as painless as possible.

I guess I like my blog so much because you don't have to read it unless you really want to and I guess I could do that on facebook and I just might start blocking people.

Now that I am done judging other people you are more then welcome to judge me on what I am about to divulge. Yes I am almost 30 years old and about to have a baby, but by golly I love me some Brittney Spears. I think I might go so far as to purchase her latest album with the left over itunes card Brent got me for Christmas. I am rethinking my ipod running mix and I think Brittney may be just the thing to get me re motivated post child birthing to get back in the groove.

You sly little minx you!
